Kagayaki snatched the gun from my hands, visibly shaking as he held it
with absolute horror. I stepped forwards, my hand outstretched.
“Don’t be stupid,” I snapped. “Give that back.”
“I can’t control or change you, Morgan-san,” he told me,
a confidence in his voice that seemed to scare him more than me.
“But I can change what happens to you. I can control what I do.”
